Overview
About Me
I was living in Toronto and now I'm currently traveling wherever I can work in wilderness ed or other eco jobs. Currently in Peterborough sleeping in the woods.
I'm into learning wilderness skills and have been doing a work trade in Durham for someone who is teaching me how to track animals also did a work trade in Maynooth helping a friend with her wilderness life and taking ca re of her land. Now in Peterborough working at my friends outdoor school and sleeping in the woods.
At this time in my life my home is where I am. I love to help out with whatever people need while I am staying with them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to meet new people, live simply and with community.
I currently don't have a place but in the future when I hopefully live out in the country with some land to grow food and live off of (a far off dream), I would love to share it. Until then I am wandering wherever I can find people who will teach me ways to live off the land while growing in my nature connection.
To do all this I dont earn much money (usually I earn food and a place to crash) and Im usually not in any one spot for very long so couch surfing is ideal for me right now.
People who I have stayed with dont have couchsurfing profiles so I could give you their emails for a reference upon request :)
Interests
I'm really interested in survival skills, tracking, bird language (ask me about it if ur like HUH??!?!?!), different forms of mentoring, peacekeeping, visual and oral storytelling, bushcraft, edible and medicinal plants, connecting with the spirit of the land, and looking at the world through a childlike lens.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love the show Treme
Musicals are amaaaaazing
I mostly spend my time outside exploring and reading when I need questions answered
Nature documentaries FTW
Love Bell Hooks and Andrea Smith.
Favorite Fantasy Author - J.K. Jemisin
I love libraries and spend lots of time in them
and podcasts are amazing (Radiolab is amazing, trust me, look it up)
Aaaaand there is lots more which can be brought up in person.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got clothslined by a tree while running through a forest on my way to elementary school.
And if that's not amazing enough, I got a minor concussion when I biked into a parked car (I am proud to say that I have never done it again, lesson learned that day :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to light a fire with friction (I can start you off anyways, it may take you a couple of months to get it down).
I can teach what some different bird calls mean, some tracking skills. how to make a pine basket (I still require a lot of work in this area), how to make a wooden bowl or a spoon.
Above all I love to explore the parks/forests/whatever is growing, walking, and howling outside ur house.
And in general we can explore the magic of nature and I can share what I know but mostly I am always learning about the landscape with whomever is present.
I would love to learn gardening and anything that you want to teach as well. Also trying to learn more about the stars and moon and the amazing folklore surrounding them. Also, I love to learn to cook and bake new things. Looooove all the foodz.
What I Can Share with Hosts
It depends what you need. I am told that I am very enthusiastic and I am a person who dives into whatever I am interested in (it's the scorpio in me). I love to share what I am learning. I love to share my enthusiasm, laughter and have intentional conversations. I find myself doing work trades these days so if you need any help with things inside or outside your house Im sure I could help you :) If nothing else i could teach u the loon call or the crpe call lol.
