About Me

Hey there, my name is Astrid! After graduating from the University of Heidelberg (Germany) in 2019 I decided to take a year off to travel around, to get to know new places, new people and new cultures before continuing my studies. Therefore, I created this couchsurfing account. In 2020 I moved to Lisbon, Portugal, where I am currently living and studying Psychology of Intercultural Relations. I´m an open-minded and easy-going person. In my free-time I love reading, hiking, Yoga, meditation, dancing, vegetarian/vegan cooking, Aerial Acrobatics, FlowArts and making Handicrafts.

Looking Forward to meet you :) )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to get to know new People and from my experience when visiting a new place you get the best recommendations by locals :)

Interests

I love spending time in nature, hiking and camping, either alone, with my dog or with friends! In 2019 I went together with my brother on a thru hike on the Pacific Crest Trail from Canada to Mexico, which has been a great adventure (5 months with our backpacks and our tents in the wilderness...).

I am a very active person, doing (Akro)Yoga, Aerial Acrobatics, Dancing (Salsa and Bachata, learning some Forró), Hoop Dance and currently trying to improve my Poi Tricks.

However, I do also love cozy days at home, drinking hot chocolate or a cup of tea, reading a good book, and working on my handmade jewellery.
