About Me

I love traveling - especially to big cities with scores of different people, but also small towns, villages or remote locations where you're constantly struck by the extreme beauty that it holds.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Moving to Vancouver at the start of September and looking to spend around 20 days travelling from San Francisco up to Vancouver from the 10th of August! I'm laid back and I love listening to the tales of people that know a locality better than I. I am hoping that through couchsurfing I'll meet a score of incredible people with complex stories to tell!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite band is The xx, but I listen to all kinds of music. My playlists hold everything from classical symphonies to Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. Currently I've fallen into the depths of James Blake's discography - it seems his somberness and the fragile way in which he croons about love fits my romantic heart perfectly!
I read quite a bit (perhaps too much), but mostly corny romance novels with happy endings. I also enjoy classics and my favorite book is Goethe's The Sorrows of Young Werther.
I'm an avid movie geek and I have a tendency to analyze cinematography instead of just enjoying the movie, but I also have a very soft spot for 90s cult classics. My favorite movie is The Boondock Saints.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was chosen to participate in a women's leadership conference in Boston on a full scholarship from the US Embassy in Copenhagen. That was pretty amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very patient and always willing to teach Danish to whoever wants to listen. I'm a pretty decent cook and I've been flexitarian for about a year now, so I'm well versed in cooking vegetarian foods.
I am also currently studying Anthropology and International Relations so I am always interested in having open conversations about culture, social constructionism, politics and generally how the world works!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am very curious, so if you've always wanted someone to listen to whatever stories that you've amassed and ask questions, then I'm your girl! I easily adapt and I loathe mooching, so I'll happily help with whatever may be needed - whether that be cooking, cleaning, running errands.
