About Me

Hey guys, I'm Astrid :)

To describe myself the first thing I would point out is the positivity I try to bring to all the people that I meet. So be sure that you will be greeted with a big smile :)

A few things that I love are beeing outside, especially hiking or walking my dog, writing as well as reading and drawing .

I am a student for marketing and sales, although I am not very convinced of the whole consume society so I will try my best to have a positive impact on the world, the environment and peoples lifes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm relatively new to couchsurfing, because until now I mostly slept in hostels while backpacking. But I would really love to dive a little further into foreign cultures and meet locals :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like to listen to many types of music and also am really open to something new.
Some of my favourite bands/singers are: irie revoltes, von wegen lisbeth, kraftklub, vance joy, the kents, manu chao, bilderbuch, hang massive, fréro delavega, papa roach, jain, caravan palace, parov stelar, buena vista social club, ...

Films: documentaries, especially about other countries, history or nature. What really changed my mind a lot was "The Game Changers".
I like series like la casa de papel, orange is the new black and modern family.
My favourite films are "joy", "catch me if you can", "the green book" but honestly I dont watch so many films.

Books: I love reading. My all time favourites include "Schachnovelle" by Stefan Zweig, all books by Ken Follett, "The Picture of Dorian Gray", homo sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari. Recently I finished The handmaids tale by Margaret atwood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Doing an 3- Day Trek in Kyrgistan, sleeping in an old tent and just feeling connected to nature and the world it self. I think i have never been so happy before.

Also doing paragliding and doing a glacier hike were probably two of my favourite experiences ever :)
