Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and building friendships. Specifically, at the moment, I want to attend a festival in Sydney from the 30th September til the 2nd of October and need a place to stay for the duration of the festival. I could stay in a backpackers, but I often find them impersonal. I would love to meet some locals and chat to them about their lived experience in Sydney, and often staying with them in their home fosters comfort in communication.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Pixies are my favourite band of all time. Also love music from many genres but a few of my faves are Laura Marling, FKA Twigs, Kendrick Lamar, Fiona Apple... If it is intellectual and complex emotionally, I am likely to be into it. I enjoy dissecting songs and poetry in my mind - like puzzles, the more complex the better.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think getting through a quad major was pretty remarkable. Other than that, doing performance art in Cape Town is always challenging and rewarding (I'll tell you more if we become friends).

I can answer most questions about plant biology, molecular biology, DNA, etc. I love sharing my love and admiration for the natural world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could cook you some traditional South African food and share with you some good local music. Always keen to paint the town red, and am down to be a companion on any shenanigans you might want to get up to :)
