About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel, to meet others, to learn, to teach, to love!

ABOUT ME

Film, fashion, photography, dance, traveling.

Anyway, this year I've decided to take a gap year -- and it's been the best year of my life! I've spent three months in India, met amazing people, spent three months working as an au pair in New York, and now as I'm writing this, I'm about to spend six weeks backpacking through Europe!

I've been dancing for about 10 years, although at some point I've lost count of how long it's been -- it's my biggest passion. I love all types of dance, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, flamenco, salsa, and so many other styles! This year I've discovered new passions, like TRAVELING, photography, guitar, writing, singing, and the list goes on and on. Life is my passion I suppose.

I'm not sure what I'll be studying at University next year, but I LOVE film studies, dance, and I'm considering going into theater! So many possibilities, and I know that they'll change by the time I'm done writing this little autobiography. I believe the only thing that is constant is that things change. Always.

PHILOSOPHY

Never regret what you do. Don't take life too seriously. We are all one with the universe :) Everything you do, put your soul into it -- if you don't do that, then you won't get the results you want. If you truly put your heart and soul into what you want, it'll work out. Things change.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting new people. I hate the label of a "tourist." Instead of paying heaps of money to do expensive, often underwhelming activities, I'd much rather spend my time making new friends who can show me a really great time, and can teach me something about themselves, about their passions, and their own lifestyles! That's what I'm most interested in -- forming bonds with other people, which is why I feel like CS is such an amazing community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm just starting! I'm a young girl and am so excited to travel the world and meet people along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books

I watch tons of movies, always listen to music, and read a ton! It's too long a list.

Some movies I like: La Vie en Rose, Pulp Fiction, Atonement, Slumdog Millionaire, Great Debaters, Amelie, Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

Music: I like so many types of music -- things I can dance to, I'm ALWAYS choreographing dance routines in my head, and I need good, moving music to do that! Anything acoustic, because then I'll look up the tab on my computer and learn how to play it on the guitar. Things with moving lyrics.

Books: Shantaram, The Path to Love, Conscious Living, Harry Potter :) I've read too many books to list all the ones that I love!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Be patient -- this might take me a while to answer.
