About Me

Born in Mexico but raised in Texas. I'm TexMex, man.

These past couple of years have allowed me to realize how much I love to learn new languages. Not only does a new language allow you to communicate with another human being, your whole point of view changes and allows you to understand new perspectives in life. It opens your mind!

I'm all about tech! It's my passion and I can probably engage with you about topics that might not seen plausible… unless you have watched Black Mirror (huge fan!)

Let me be clear, I am an introvert BUT don't let that fool you -- you'll realize how goofy and what a dork I am in reality. I try to keep it down though because I realize that might annoy people. I'm kind with people and so much more with my friends.

I love honesty over anything. I think that if you're truthful to anyone, though truth might hurt sometimes, you're better off doing that than being caught in a dirty lie.

I was president of a student organization at the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley called International Student Organization. I loved this club so much because it allowed me to meet people all over the world right at home. I've met so many people and whom I consider my friends now—very good friends of mine! So, I understand CS's ultimate goal in regards with being exposed to people from different cultures and I'm ready for that!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I tried CS for the very first time in San Francisco in 2015. How did that go? Well, in short I can tell you that a stranger hosted me for a weekend but by the end of that I said goodbye to an awesome friend (whom I still keep in contact with!). It changed my world perspective 180 degrees! Hands down.

Couchsurfing opens up an immense opportunity at meeting people but actually getting to know them pretty well, by the fact that you'd be sharing their home!

Interests

I. LOVE. TO. TRAVEL. We live in a huge planet; so many places to visit and so many possible friends out there!

When I'm not traveling, not that I do that often anyway, I like to surround myself around friends and those who won't mind just having a friendly talk. I rather stay home, hang with friends while we all watch a great movie and eat pizza!

Currently exploring solo traveling but never opposed to planning a trip with someone!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm very into pop music but for the past of couple of years, I've been listening to music from Sweden, France, Spain and Russian; especially Russia.

I just got tired of listening to what EVERYBODY listens to on the radio or what's trending on the charts; so I decided one day to see what was been played on the other side of the planet and I don't regret it. You know, it's like going into a buffet and eating the same dish every 👏 single 👏 time 👏

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled solo in Vegas and got stranded for a week after losing my flight home. For the first time, I kept calm and things just turned out amazing. Reunited with an old friend from San Francisco and we both ended up friending a guy from Vienna and an awesome girl from Irak. The awesomeness of Couchsurfing, I'm telling y'all!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you some quick and useful phrases in Spanish, though I'm sure I'm not the only one who has said that before.

I can engage in very deep, philosophical conversation and share my point of view of life. I've been told that I'm a very good listener so you could try me! Promise I'll listen to all your stories and share some of mine as well!
