ABOUT ME
My name is Beata. I was born in London and lived there my 25 years. I studied in Nottingham for 3 years and have worked in Portugal, Porto for 6months while studying furniture and product design. Since then I have worked with young people and work as a florist currently.

I have a passion for music and dance,from rock & roll to swing to Latin. I love to eat and drink with friends and hear stories and laugh.

I love to be around people as I come from a large family of 10 and having a polish Italian background we enjoy to talk and eat together. I must say, as much as I like to be around people I do enjoy to be on my own reading or listening to music drinking red wine my favour it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to join couch surfing as my family often have hosted foreign exchange students in the summer and I have personally enjoyed taking them around my city and exploring new things with them. Having people come to stay has almost always been great, as you become very close in a short space of time and learn new things about people that I may never have met .

I believe couch surfing is a really good way to make friends with locals and get a more authentic feel for the community and to really immerse ourselves in it.
I'm sure it will be another great way for making friends abroad and learning about their culture and customs.I think it's great for putting your self out there and really getting a unique experience, and who knows we may become friends for life.

Interests

I absolutely adore the mountains in the winter and being outside. I love feeling the weather on my skin, especially when skiing which gives me the best rush ever. Snow is great fun except when your not sure which way is up because everywhere is white.

I also enjoy dressing up and love game of thrones. I have done comicon the last 2 years and love a good dress up party. Check my photos. My creative side comes out as I make all my costumes and props.

I also love the ocean,swimming, diving and paddle boarding. I enjoy testing my strength and like to tiere myself out with a long activity and at the end feast on a well deserved meal. When on the coast I particularly enjoy ridding my bike and taking walks along scenic routes.

Reading and history are my more tame interests. I often pick up historical novels as I find my interests more in social history and people's lives. My best friend recently got me into writing and I have started to keep a journal and try to jot down my poetry.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite series is game of thrones. As it has a great script and a lot of depth and parallel to society now and in history.

I love Sean Paul, David rodigan and anything I can dance to old or new.

If I had to do karaoke I would probably choose Dolly Parton , Joleen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have designed and made a specialist autistic pod for a local school.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach flower arrangement and cake making. I can also cook a classic English roast and a fabulous full English breakfast. I can also teach paddle boarding.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share food and wine. Stories and laughs. I can also teach conversation in English and basic level polish.

I do a very good head and shoulder massage.
