About Me

My name is Genevive but they also call me 'Ate Bibs' (Ate means 'older sister' in my country). It is quite contradictory because, I am the youngest in my family, but I am fond of taking care of younger ones like my own siblings. I live a simple life, happy with my writings and photos. I am passionate about learning different cultures and am very interested in listening to people's stories, especially of places and languages I have never seen or heard.

But bottomline: I cook well and, I can feed you too. :) Haha.

I love meeting new people from different countries and knowing their culture. Proud to be Filipino, and in awe of the beauty of the Philippines. Come and visit my country. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was able to take my mother to a memorable 58th birthday in the beautiful land of Japan. It was autumn and was her first time to travel outside the Philippines. It was such a leap of faith, for I had to work hard, save up, and give her something that she never thought she would experience in her lifetime. I am still looking forward to taking her to more places. I hope she can still walk around, backpacking, until she's maybe, 80?
