ABOUT ME

We are an easy going couple (Athena and Rob), that love to travel. We spend our time exploring new places, finding new amazing adventures, volunteering, eating great food, going out and just having a good time wherever we can.

We did a round the world trip in 2014/15 and it basically ruined us on normal life. We now travel as much as possible! For us there is nothing better than wandering a new city, exploring the less populated (often most beautiful) corners of a country and everything in between. We love to hike, adventure, eat, drink and be merry and found that with CS, sharing these experiences has transformed them from just a good excursion, meal or night out with the two of us into a lifelong friend or great story when experienced with fellow CS'ers.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have hosted a couple groups of people and and completed a RTW trip with a few incredible hosts graciously giving us a place to stay, sharing a meal or a few drinks and plenty of laughs

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had a phenomenal experience with CS so far. We have been greatly surprised by people's generosity and kindness. Even when expecting that things will go well, our hosts and surfers have far exceeded those expectations. We find that it is much more fun to stay with people who know and love their city than to stay in hotels along our travels.

**note, seems like 50% of the requests we get are for the next day. We know "life happens" but we're much more likely to request with a little more notice.
