CURRENT MISSION
Live, Laugh, Love...Travel :-)
ABOUT ME
Who, me? I'm awesome, trust me :P. If that's not specific enough, well...relaxed, friendly, thoughtful, genuine...are just a few words I'd use to describe myself. I could probably also think of a few less flattering ones, but I don't want to scare you away just yet, hahaha...
I am quite shy at first, but once I get to know someone I think I'm pretty fun to be around :)
I come from a big, eccentric family so I can appreciate all types (apart from complete psychos, that is). But I also enjoy my own company. I am very laid back and don't get stressed or angry very easily. I like to think that I can get along with anyone who makes an effort to get along with me.
I don't drink often or smoke (although I don't mind the odd cider or glass of wine :P), I love to write and read poetry, I love creative people, and I'm very fond of dogs (and cats too, I suppose :P).
I try not to judge and I keep my distance from those who judge me.
I love difference, diversity and variety. I love to see how all the people of this world live, in their different environments and unique circumstances. The more I travel, the more I appreciate the beauty in diversity, and how privileged I am to live in an age where I can see it.
PHILOSOPHY
Happiness is not having what we want, but wanting what we have...

I couch surfed during a 6 week tour of Europe, in France and Scotland. I also couch surfed my way through Norway, from south to north. It is definitely one of the greatest ways to meet people and have awesomely confabutastic times.

Music, Movies, and Books
There are too many! I love traditional music and folk songs, songs with good rhythm and anything played live. Also anything with the fiddle!
I'm a massive movie fan. Nothing I enjoy better than curling up with a blanket and a hot chocolate and watching a great movie, or better yet reading a great book!
I read anything I can get my hands on: at the moment I'm reading 'The Shining' by Stephen King, 'The Way of Kings' by Brandon Sanderson, and Metamorphoses' by Ovid...when I'm not planning my travels, that is.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming with wild dolphins in Port Lincoln
Teaching the hokey-pokey to children in the Himalayas
The Sinai Desert
Cycling through the Killarney National Park (aka Middle Earth)
Diving into a lake north of the Arctic Cirlce in Lofoten, Norway.
And many many more...
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Well, obviously I speak English :P. I also speak beginners French, Spanish, and Punjabi. My ex-boyfriend was N.Indian so I can make a great curry!
Learn: Always looking to learn new languages, improve my French/Spanish, learn new recipes, etc. In fact, I just love to learn, anything and everything. Isn't that the reason we're all here?
Share: I love to write, prose and poetry, so I'm always keen to meet like-minded people. Sharing stories with friends, intelligent debates about pretty much anything...it's all good!
