ABOUT ME

I'm a people person! I love meeting new people and experiencing new places. The world is so full of incredible people and I have so much to learn and share. I love finding humor in life. I'm a very active person and have fun adventuring with people. I'm also happy to relax and enjoy my surroundings with a good conversation. I have the ability to make friends in almost any situation, and enjoy finding commonalities across cultures. Thoughtfulness and consideration to others around me is of highest importance. I am both self-reliant and willing to collaborate and share. I'd love to meet you!

PHILOSOPHY

Allow your beauty. My journey has been all about allowing and enabling myself to open to the beauty of my being. Every time I see a performer totally encompassed in their performance I am entranced and brought into the experience. It's the most beautiful thing I've seen. I've lived for too long believing in the fear driven culture around me of trying to be something I'm not in order to feel beautiful. I'm forcing myself out of my paralysis of fear because everywhere I go its new and scary and I have to keep stepping forward, following my direction alone. I'm learning lessons that show me truths about myself and teach me confidence that will go with me through the rest of my life. Authenticity, vulnerability tempered with personal strength, and openness to the joys of life are my goals.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to travel and invest myself in the people and culture of the places I go. I have traveled to New Zealand and Brazil using couch surfing and I'm opening my home to surfers for the very first time! I love the opportunities CS brings :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been meeting people on CS while sharing our cultures and knowledge. I think everyone on this earth has something incredible to offer. I travel through places and journal about my experiences. I've learned so much. The more I learn, the more I want to learn. A few years ago I started by being hosted by 2 people and met 3 wonderful ladies on the activities section for Auckland, New Zealand. We ended up renting a van together and traveling the whole 2 major islands for a month. Since then I traveled all over Brazil using couchsurfing the whole way, what an incredible experience!!!!

Interests

I'm a modern and samba dancer and love movement, music, and art. I rehearse and perform regularly in my California community. Honest expression of the self is enlightening, inspiring, and can be the most beautiful thing to offer to each other. We are all here to aid one another in this way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time I danced solo in front of a audience and realized that everyone was watching me, there's nothing else to look at. It's just me alone, sharing my soul for anyone to see. That was incredible. Offstage right before entering I was so scared and excited I thought I might vomit or pee or both... then the music cue was there and it was time. The lights came up and as soon as I started dancing everything else fell away. It was transcendent.

Another moment for me was when I left home for this solo travelling trip. I've been wanting to travel for my whole life and been too scared to do it on my own until now. Except I wouldn't even admit to myself I was scared, I just said I'm too tied down or I don't have enough money. Then when I booked my tickets to Thailand, Bali, and New Zealand it was finalized. No turning back. I didn't even plan or book anything past the major placed I'd visit. I was so scared the day before I left, but I've been on the road for 2.5 months now and I'm learning that I'm capable of far more than I ever thought. Everything has fallen into place like magic. This life is magic!
