About Me

CURRENT MISSION

As somebody with a degree in Tourism, My current mission to to live, work, travel & volunteer on all 7 continents by the time I'm 35. At which point, I'll have a better idea of where in the world I'd like to settle down, and work in the tourism industry

ABOUT ME

As I've gotten my degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management, I plan to live/work/travel/volunteer on all 7 continents by the time I'm 35. At that point, I plan to have a better idea of where in this great world I'd like to settle down and possibly start a family and a business. I've also entertained the idea of writing a book about my travels and experiences.

I currently spend North American summers working for Promotional Marketing Tours that allow me to extensively travel around the US. Then, when things start getting chilly up north here and marketing tours wrap up for the winter, I head to various destination along the equator or within the Southern Hemisphere and either travel, volunteer, or seek employment in the Adventure Tourism industry.

Currently, I am living, working, and traveling throughout New Zealand and Australia with my girlfriend, Lisa.

I have a great passion for meeting new people, making new friends from around the world, and learning about new cultures, languages & religions. I also really enjoy sharing my knowledge of the world with others that I meet.

PHILOSOPHY

I could talk for hours on this, but we'll make it short.

CARPE DIEM!

You can either let LIFE and the situations & circumstances you find yourself in control YOU....... OR YOU can control LIFE, and the circumstances with which you live it.

You can either get busy living, or get busy dying!

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." -Mark Twain

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2005, I spent 4 1/2 months thru-hiking the 2,179 mile Appalachian National Scenic Trail which runs from Springer Mtn in Georgia to Mt. Katahdin in Baxter State Park, Maine

Over New Years 2008/2009 I climbed Mt. Aconcagua, the highest peak outside of Asia, which lies in the Argentinean Andes.

The following is a snippet from the cover letter I submitted to a company that I'm seeking employment thru in New Zealand.....

As an avid traveler & outdoorsman, I have had the opportunity to live, work & travel throughout 42 US states, and 21 different countries. I have had the opportunity to hike the 2,179 miles from Springer Mtn in Georgia to Mt. Katahdin in Maine along the famed Appalachian National Scenic Trail. I have climbed the 2nd highest of the 7 summits, Mt. Aconcagua at 6,962m in the Argentinean Andes. & I have battled the elements to sea-kayak around Cape Horn and the convergence of the Atlantic & Pacific Oceans. Now I’m posed to take on my newest challenge, as a hiking guide for your great company along the shores of Aotearoa, or The Land of the Long White Cloud!

Teach, Learn, Share

"life begins again each day. and though we have to face the facts of yesterday, we continue to forge on, conquering our fears, picking ourselves up off the ground if we so happened to have fallen down, and living for the hope and the love that keeps us inspired."

"Love me without fear, Trust me without questioning. Need me without demanding, want me without restrictions. Accept me without change, Desire me without inhibitions. For a love so free.... Will never fly away."
