Hi! My name is Athina, I am 25 years old, and currently studying for a Master's degree in Environmental Sciences in Wageningen, Netherlands. I have always wanted to travel to a lot of places but only recently started actively fulfilling this dream. Things that I enjoy doing include eating (huge foodie), cooking, reading (current read: The Road Less Travelled), walking, and watching a lot of stand-up comedy videos and shows (and always down to go to live ones too!).

I am on Couchsurfing because I want to travel as much as possible in a sustainable way, get to know new people, explore other cultures, and make new friends all over the world with whom I can connect and share (travel) experiences!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book (so far) is Les Misérables; I find really fascinating how Hugo managed to capture all that makes humanity in what seems like a lot of pages, but it really isn't. My current favorite songs (hearing in a non-stop loop at the moment) are Gasoline by Maneskin, Figure you Out and Bad for me by Voila, Die Trying by New Medicine, In My Head by Call Me Karizma, and Muddy Feet and Flowers by Miley Cyrus.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Hiked through various places full of nature in Sao Miguel, Azores
- Lost over 40 kgs, and trying to do it all over again!
- Got two academic scholarships!
