About Me

ABOUT ME

I always wanted to be a greater person than I really am. So to me this kind of questions are very hard to answer.
People usually find me aloof and unusual first. And very friendly after. Maybe because I am silent speaker, often rather observer, with active nonverbal communication and intuitive, imaginative nature.
Best friends describe me as caring and honest... as well as idealist and perfectionist. That, or overly sarcastic. I wish I could tell I spend much time with such friends.

PHILOSOPHY

I would be very proud if I could absolutely formulate it.
I wish I'd never walk past a hidden treasure without at least admiring it for a while.
The world is a stage... but I hope we can choose what roles we take. We better choose carefully.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a really unpredictable schedule. I would love to meet and help travellers, and will do so if we can arrange it. Urgent requests might have less chance with me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted some surfers and met some others for coffee.

Interests

Fencing. Sabre fencing. Lately I rather travel to locations of competitions.
Coaching and training methodology.
Longsword fencing and research of Historical European Martial arts.
Running. Swimming.
Reading, learning. Lately I am reading the complete collection of the Sherlock Holmes stories.
Drinking coffee. Sailing. It is awesome to experience the rough power of nature from so close.
Getting to know cities and people, solving interesting problems.
Understanding human nature, defining how certain people become what they are, inspiring and creating.
I might attempt to play your violin if you happen to have one and don't conceal it properly.

Daydreaming... I always find time for that.

Music, Movies, and Books

Twenty years after, by A. Dumas. Stranger in a strange land, by Heinlein. Oceano Mare, by A. Baricco. Henry IV. part 1 and 2, Henry V by W. Shakespeare. Sherlock Holmes/Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The elegant Universe, Greene. P. Howard. Harrison Fawcett.

Music... I listen to many kinds. According to moods and impressions.

Movies. That part is deficient. Last one I watched was The Imitation Game, liked it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have recently encountered the phenomenon of an enormous cloud taking over the sun from the north. The lights, the feeling was breathtaking. As if I was passing the border between bright summer and kingdom of darkness, while those being in a meaningful and wild battle.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Sweden, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Hungary
