I live in beautiful Madison, WI, but I travel as often as possible. My Korean is bad, my French is decent (although not like it used to be), and I'll attempt Spanish after a few drinks.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been around the site for awhile, but I haven't had a chance to try surfing yet.  I'd like to give it a shot though, so perhaps on my next trip?

Interests

Linguistics, cheese, random and aimless wandering, random and non-aimless wandering, wandering of more or less any kind as long as it's sufficiently random.  My idea of good travel involves no lines, no tour buses, and lots of exaggerated gesturing to get point across in a language I don't speak.  Also I eat my way through any country I visit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have never seen anything else like Haeshindong Park in South Korea.  It's a...unique experience to be sure.  Definitely not safe to look up at work, but you should Google it if you're at home.  A strange, strange place in an already strange country.
