About Me

Hi! We are Imran (32) and Atiya (24) from Brisbane, Australia. We have been married for five years and have a three-year-old son. While Imran started Couchsurfing long before Atiya came into his life, Atiya is new to it. We are both very interested in experiencing other cultures through people who live it and also sharing our Aussie culture at home with other travellers.

Our upcoming trip to Europe is very exciting and we hope to make lots of special memories together. We will be leaving our son at home with his grandparents, so we can have a cheeky little post baby honeymoon 😊 We are always looking towards to our next adventure across the world having recently travelled to Canada, US and Tunisia which were all incredible experiences.

I recently finished my Bachelor’s degree back home. I studied Environmental Management with a focus on Environmental Geography. I adore and love spending time with family and friends, and am open minded to meeting people from all sorts of backgrounds and sharing stories. Some of my hobbies include going on long walks, exploring nature, fashion, keeping fit and cooking delicious new meals at home!

I'm a Engineer, but cooler than your average engineer :P I used to travel a lot before I met Atiya, and I last couchsurfed back in 2009 when I backpacked in South America. I met some really amazing people back then during my travels and really want to experience it all over again but this time with Atiya! It's such a great way to meet locals, and so much better than staying at hostels! I enjoy the outdoors, sport, skiing, and drinking nice coffee and craft beer. I also enjoy cooking and being inspired by new foods and cuisines in the countries that I visit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The world has so many experiences to offer yet life can get so busy and rushes past making it hard to gather them in one lifetime. In my opinion the best way to get the most out of life is to meet new people and share experiences, thus Couchsurfing.

We are a very open minded, friendly couple who are simply looking to experience Europe through locals. We believe this way we’ll make the best unexpected and quirky memories and friends!
