About Me

My priorities in life are community and connection, art and expression, and exploring the world. I am likely spending my time either finding sweet escapes in nature, bonding with an animal, or dancing my heart out. I make my own music and love to write poetry. I believe laughter is the best medicine and creativity is my religion.

I first fell in love with the nomadic lifestyle when I moved from my home in Colorado to the west coast in California, where I lived out of my two door hatchback and became friends with all the circus freaks. After that I lived out of a van for about a year, before returning to Colorado and hunkering down for a couple years to work and save. I started traveling more again last year, and have been blessed to spend the last 3 months traveling Europe, Africa, and now Asia. Next stop: Australia

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me (while the saving $$ is great) it is largely about meeting locals and connecting to the people in the places I travel to. I find it to lead to a more authentic experience than staying in some hotel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading books on psychology and philosophy. Just finished one of Esther Perel’s books and am now reading the classic: The Alchemist.

As far as movies go I like just about anything that accurately represents history, makes me really think, or makes me laugh.
