About Me

Currently working as a model and working towards opening my own business.

I love travelling and soaking up the authentic culture wherever I am. I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, having stimulating conversation, going on adventures, seeking spots off the beaten track and trying out the local music/art/food etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

First stop: Oslo 24th April - 27th April 2012
We met up and made friends with people from the couchsurfing message board. We stayed with my dad's friend who worked as a city tour guide and was able to tell us all the ins and outs of the political, architectural and cultural aspects of the city as well as bring us to the best bars! A very short but memorable stay, we made new friends and felt weirdly at home.

Second stop: Paris 17th - 22nd July 2014
Went to the CS main Paris event "Rendevous" which happened to be on during our stay. Met great people and it really made our trip special. Did the touristy things, cycled round on the velibs and survived a box sized air bnb (we were also going to couchsurf but unfortunately our host had to cancel!) Big amour for this trip, 6 days was too short!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering in Belorus. I spent two weeks over there with a friend volunteering at one main orphanage called Novinki and visiting other orphanages and institutions nearby. This was in 2008 and the situation over there in terms of attitudes towards people with disabilities was pretty bleak but the work done by the Belorussian Orphanage project was incredible. I hope attitudes will become more progressive in time.
