ABOUT ME

I'm an English teacher living in Seoul, South Korea since August 2010 and staying until at least August 2012. After that, who knows? I'm just taking things one year at a time right now, not looking too far into the future. I love exploring new places and Seoul is the perfect city to wander. Even after a year, I still find things that surprise, delight, fascinate, and thrill on a daily basis.

PHILOSOPHY

Most things in life are not as hard as people make them out to be. 99% of the time the only thing holding you back is fear. I will always regret the things I didn't do more than the things that I have done. And in the words of Conan O'Brien "Work hard, be kind, and amazing things will happen"

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CouchSurfing a couple of years ago, but at the time I was living in a small city in central Illinois that did not attract a lot of travelers. Now that I am somewhere slightly more exciting, I am hoping for the opportunity to show people around this city. I would also love to make friends around the globe.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not had any CS experience yet, but I am looking forward to starting.

Interessen

Music, photography, hiking, jogging, literature, coffee, oceans, my students, learning about anything and everything. Teach it with passion and make it entertaining and I'll be interested in it.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I began the summer of 2007 on the western coast of Ireland, returned to the US and spent the rest of the summer travelling around the country, from South Carolina to California. In one summer, I was able to stand on three different coasts.
