ABOUT ME

I am a student in the lively city of Dublin, I grew up in rural West of Ireland and although I love it there I really enjoy being in the city at the point in my life.
I am 21 years old and I spent most of last summer interrailing around Europe where I had the good fortune to meet lovely fellow travellers from all over the world! I got the traveling bug now and I can't wait for next summer when I'll hopefully be off again!
I have never couch surfed myself but I definitely will in the future! I think its a brilliant idea and I'm really looking forward to hosting!

PHILOSOPHY

I like to think I'm an open minded individual. I believing in respecting individuals, whatever their beliefs, ethnicity or sexual orientation. It really pisses me off when people are narrow minded but I still believe in respecting their opinions, even though I'll probably strongly disagree with them. I like to live my live to the full, I enjoy spending time with my mates whether chatting in a pub or watching a movie. I love learning things and I believe that learning from people of different cultures and different countries is the most fascinating way to gain a little bit more knowledge about the world.

Interests

I love music! I would love to make a living being a music journalist, I enjoy going to gigs and discovering new bands, I write for a music site and I presented my own music show on college radio last year. I'm a journalism student so to be honest that dictates my interests a lot. I'm a keen follower of current affairs and enjoy a bit of banter and the odd heated debate!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love love love music, if you didn't get that already ;) , favourite bands? Oh lord theres so many... the Libertines, the Clash, the Pixies, the XX, the Strokes, M.I.A, Lady Gaga, Pj Harvey, Patti Smith, BOB DYLAN, Beatles, the Kinks, the Who, Bon Iver, Olof Arnalds, Dum Dum Girls, the Drums, Adesibi Shank, Rarely Seen Above Ground, Daft Punk, the Specials....etc etc
T.V. shows I love True Blood, Six Feet Under, Sopranos, Skins and the Wire and I'm more than a bit obsessed with Dexter!!!
Films, I love Shane Meadows so all his films really i.e. This is England, A Song for Romeo Brass etc, I love good gangster movies i.e. Godfathers, Goodfellas, American Gangsters, Mean Streets. I love Leo DiCaprio, think he is an amazing actor, Departed and Shutters Island amongst my favourite DiCaprio moments! Phew!
