About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Find my reasons for being here and grabbing a pint or picture along the way.
ABOUT ME
I am going through a powerful transition in my life right now, and in this transition I need to determine why I am here on this planet and what it is I'll do to be happy and content for the next half of this century. I don't know what I am best for, and I don't know who I'm best suited to be with. I don't know where I'm going, or what I can best help others with. Therefore, I feel I must explore as much as I can, find the courage to see things I never thought I'd see, and make friends along the way. Ain't so hard, eh?
PHILOSOPHY
I love people and what makes them people. I am a work in progress... Don't forget that there are no blacks or whites in the world, just an astounding array of greys. Just because it's so confusing isn't sad, though. That's what makes it so damn exciting!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am here to meet people and explore the experience of life with other great people. Since I'm now more financially secure than I used to be, I hope to assist courchsurfers who don't have it as easy. I've been helped by others, so why not pay it forward?
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Certain bars in Japan have couches which are open to customers for sleeping off the booze before they close at 7 am or whenever. I took advantage of that from time to time. Probably my favorite experience so far because the people were very kind there.

Music, Movies, and Books
lots and lots. Haha. I read and watch and listen a lot.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most beautiful thing I believe I ever saw was the view across the Sea of Japan that I saw after climbing a mountain near Okinawa. All the islands poking up out of the water and ships gliding past... of course I didn't bring a camera. :(
Teach, Learn, Share
I feel the only advice I can give is to know when not to speak. A fool flaps his gums and gets yawns quoting poets all the time. A smart person quietly sits and absorbs, waiting for the right time. If anyone could tell me how to pay for traveling as you go with odd jobs related to your chosen skill, I'd be much obliged.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook a pretty mean meal, and I'm always excited to try something new, so suggest it, and maybe I'll make it! I have books, wifi, knowledge of the city to help you navigate, my own car, dog love (I have one and plan on getting another).
