ABOUT ME

I'm a filmmaker and musician from Winnipeg, MB. I work as a contract video editor and shooter, and also in a variety of video education and outreach roles in the Winnipeg community.

In addition to my own film projects, I am also very much in love with music, playing everything from bass to guitar, and violin to banjo.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live in a house in Winnipeg, MB, and am quite willing to have people crash in our basement spare room or couch. I have traveled through Germany, Netherlands, throughout Canada and the US, and have had a great couch surfing experiences in Minneapolis and Vancouver in addition to some guests here in Winnipeg. Nothing but great experiences so far!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a great experience couch surfing in Minneapolis on a trip I took with a friend who had a Couch Surfing account. Met a great like-minded friend there, and had a great time with him.

Also had some great hosts in Vancouver! In exchange for the place to sleep I helped them prepare meals, tuned their newly acquired ukuleles and showed them my films.

Interests

Experimental / independent / underground film, music, vinyl, film, photography, politics / world issues, film history, early cinema (1890-1920), avant garde cinema, Canadian "indie" music, anything starring Robert Mitchum, anything starring Bill Murray, weird films or music, having a good time and meeting new friends through couch surfing.
