ABOUT ME

I'm a positive person. I'm very straight forward. I love children. I am a writer. I love people, watching them, interacting with them and learning about how different or similar they are to me and each other. I grew up in a tiny cowboy town in Colorado and moved to Phoenix, Arizona for college. After six years in the big city, I felt the travel itch! I'm grateful for my experience in Phoenix; it showed me the importance of "real" people and made me value individuality even more than I already did. I love to laugh and am really easily amused. I don't smoke and I do enjoy a tasty alcoholic drink, specifically sparkling white wine, sangria and, when cutting loose, Tequila.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hope to write a book about my travels to encourage people like myself, who think there is no way they can afford to travel. I want people to know how small the world really can be when they have friends across the globe!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had the best experience in Zurich, Switzerland and have met many fellow surfers/surfer hosts in my travels. I've also been a wwoofer at a few locations in Ireland (wwoof.org), and it's been an incredible way to make friends and learn about the real culture of a place!

My top two experiences thus far were sky diving and running the PF Chang's marathon in January!

I worked as an editor, so I can proof anything and love to do it. I have experience with carpentry, gardening, cooking, childcare, etc....

I would love to learn more languages, how to cook foods from different cultures, and I'd like to learn more about boating. I'm also extremely interested in photography, although my fancy camera only exists in my dreams for now.
