About Me

ABOUT ME

Originally from Hungary but I have lived for 9 years in Colombia, 5 years in Bogotá, then in Medellín and now in Cali. First I came to Colombia to do a Master in Political Science, then I decided to stay because I fell in love with natural and cultural diversity, I found a lot of deep-hearted friends and a huge amount of issues that I´m interested in. This country is not a country but many countries in one so it´s difficult to get bored here.

I have always been very close to music with many musician friends (and each week dancing salsa in some Colombian bar), I love water in all its manifestations (sea, rivers, etc.) and all activities related to it (like swimming and kayak), of course I try to travel as much as possible, sometimes only by motorcycle in the mountains, and I think I spend a lot of time just talking to people and trying to keep in touch with my friends in different places. Unfortunately I need to sleep 8 hours/day so my days are short and sometimes I´m a bit envious of those who can manage it with only 4-5 hours.

PHILOSOPHY

Fortune favours the bold.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A few years ago I opened this account but I didn´t use it for a long time, from now I would like to be active.

The purpose, as always, is to meet new people and learn new things, share good energy. By couchsurfing I would also like to share my network with other foreigners who need interesting contacts.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movie is The Godfather, each time I see it I find something new in it. Favourite books: too many, it would be unjust to mention only a few..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I survived Colombian bureaucracy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a host: My family and me have sung in choirs all our lives so we got used to receive members of other choirs of the world in our house. I got used to that in my childhood so I think I learned how to make people really feel at home.

As a guest: I can offer a respectful adaptation to your rules, good conversations, share my experience from other countries and if you wanna learn Spanish for example (or Hungarian which would be a bit stranger ;) ) I can help.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cuba, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Venezuela

Countries I’ve Lived In
