À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
To travel and work nomadically from different parts of the world, meeting new people and exchanging stories.
ABOUT ME
Living in Pune (India) since 2008. Previously, I've lived in Chandigarh and Hyderabad (India), and Reston, VA (USA). I work with an American law firm, managing their operations in India. I love traveling and am fascinated by trains. My dream trip: Trans Siberian Railway all the way. I am also into wines, craft beer, good food, movies, and road trips.
October 2022: Embarked on a 3.5 week long train journey across the United States and had an amazing time meeting with different people and viewing the countryside from the train's window.
October 2023: Another cross-country train travel in the U.S., this time starting from and returning to San Francisco.
Upcoming - (Sep 2024): Trans-Siberian train travel in Russia.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was a virgin couchsurfer until the second week of November 2007 when I hosted a surfer from West Virginia at my apartment in Reston, Virginia. It was a wonderful experience. A lot of people had advised me not to entertain total strangers in the house, particularly because I was new to the U.S.. But I must say, people like Gary (the first couchsurfer in my house) lend credibility to the couchsurfing program.
I've got the opportunity to host on a few occasions after that. My work involves a lot of travel but I'll surely accept requests to host whenever I'm in town.
Centres d'intérêt
Love watching movies and cooking. Also like to travel and make new friends. Have written some poetry but working as a lawyer seldom gives time now to pursue it further.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I enjoy country music, soft rock, bollywood, punjabi music... it all depends on the mood. I also love watching movies of mostly all genres, but particularly enjoy horror, thrillers, and those involving zombie apocalypse.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
The Taj Mahal remains the most wonderful thing I've ever seen till date... you have to see it to believe it. It is simply out of this world... probably the most romantic, fairytale-like place in this world.
Others that almost made the cut:
1. Sky diving in Bled, Slovenia
2. Hot air balloon ride over snow-covered Cappadocia
3. While watching The Life of Walter Mitty, mesmerized by the scenic beauty and googled the place where it was shot... and booked tickets to Iceland the same day.
4. Paramotoring, which has inspired me to work towards obtaining a Private Pilot's License soon.
5. Several solo road trips across India
6. Making a full circle train trip in the U.S. in Oct 2022. Many more to follow.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I love experimenting with food... and learning new languages. I am fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi. I also know basic French, a little bit of Spanish, and am interested in learning Russian (will start soon).
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
I moved to a new apartment recently, which will soon be available for couchsurfers whenever I am not travelling.
