ABOUT ME

I grew up in South Dakota (yes with flushing toilets and electricity) and when I was 17 I went to live in Germany for a year. Came back to SD finished high school, packed up my car and moved to Portland OR. I worked in Portland for a year while getting residency, started school while working some odd jobs . Then I graduated, and decided to do some exploring.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I have just begun but I am a good roommate so I figure I'll be a good couch surfer. I would have opened up my couch but I just learned about the project right before I packed up my stuff to head out on the road.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was personally invited by a German family to live with them for a year after a brief stay in their house. I did and had a great time. Ever since, I have mostly rented places, at one point I shared my small studio apartment with two people consecutively for about nine months.

Interests

My interests in general have to do with personal growth, and thereby helping others/humanity to grow. But I have a long ways to go to make any substantial impact on the latter. Specifically I enjoy reading, conversation, yoga, introspection, cooking, helping, and having fun.
