ABOUT ME

I'm a software architect and a recovering entrepreneur. My life pretty much revolves around music. I'm a guitar player and singer. If I'm asking to stay with you, its probably because I want to see a show in your town. I've done a lot of self awareness work and am one of the rare males that has mature emotional language. I do my best to not be a burden to others. I can command a situation in an emergency, because I keep a calm head. I can be loud and boisterous, but that is a trick I don't pull out of my bag much these days. I'd rather be in a calm space with people who want to remain present. I don't do drugs and rarely drink.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been pretty quiet on CS. My place in Austin is out of town a bit, so I don't really get hit up for a place. You have to have transportation to stay with me. However, I'm totally open to hosting. Most of the people that I know who introduced me to CS, have other priorities in life these days, career or family, so I'm not very active in the CS community in Austin.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never surfed. I've had a really great lady from Germany join us for Burningman.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I went to Cairo when I was 27, my world view was basically rocked. The right wrong paradigm of culture, religion and politics I had been indoctrinated in, got seriously challenged. I think the world would be a MUCH better place if a standard part of the education of a human would be going to a developing country.

When I realized that for all of our technology, for all of our knowledge, it is all based on a FIRE and a Wheel. As much as we think we are highly intelligent and enlightened beings, we don't know much about much and if the lights go out, we are mostly scared.

I have done a lot of self awareness work and am proud of who I am as a human being.
