About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To roam the world without a worry

ABOUT ME

I love the wide, beautiful outdoors and would dearly love to spend my life looking at new places and learning new things about people and places everyday. I'm quite easygoing and open minded, and I love listening to people.

I am fairly regular on Twitter, so if you want to read more about me, follow me @atyanand

PHILOSOPHY

Our planet Earth may be a tiny speck in the Universe, but there's still so much here to explore and do that a lifetime may not be sufficient. I want to see and feel as much of my beautiful planet and meet as many people as I can...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can host fellow CSers at my house in Bangalore, but please do let me know in advance. I plan to travel a lot in the coming months and years, and I shall be glad if people can host me and introduce me to new cultures. I am always ready to meet interesting new people and show them around too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't hosted or been hosted by anyone yet, but I've had friends coming over and vice versa for ages now. Looking forward to a whole new experience now :-)

Interests

Football (soccer to the Americans) - I'm a lifelong Liverpool fan.

I'm also learning to cook now, and it has become a big addiction :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - I am a big time Quentin Tarantino fan. Same case with Stanley Kubrick. Also love the James Bond series. To be frank, I watch almost anything...

Books - P.G. Wodehouse it is! Somehow, I am not a big fan of hard-hitting, "reality bites" kind of books. Also keep away from heavy philosophy. And yes, I LOVE books with plenty of colourful pictures in them :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Decided, on a whim, to take a 2,500km road trip in a hatchback, from the south to the north of India. The best part: it was totally unplanned. So we discovered the route, places to eat and sleep and a number of amazing sights as we went along!

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

India
