Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Improve the US education system by a factor of ten
ABOUT ME
I moved to DC for an internship with an education think tank and got a job as a remote analyst. Now, I live in Maryland with two friends and one's mom and grandma. I'm learning to program so I can build apps and websites that help people use what they learn.
I love reading well-argued opinions, japanese comics, and nonfiction that can be implemented (i.e. self-help books). My other favorite activity is elaborating a business idea that changes the world. Just focusing on developing technical skills at the moment.
PHILOSOPHY
Do what you want to do by staying true to your own values. Approach problems pragmatically, and focus.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the student housing co-op where I lived in Austin, we would host people fairly often. I would hang with visitors and show them around sometimes.
I almost never have a couch-friendly abode because of either my work schedule or the other people I am living with.
When I travel, I like at least meeting up with one couchsurfer to get a sense of place and culture. If appropriate, I'll try to couchsurf as well.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met some good people through Couchsurfing. They seem always to be the thoughtful type. That's a good thing.
