ABOUT ME

Hi :)

I am a trusting and easy-going 22 year old.
I love the idea of sharing my home and my life with other people, and I don't understand why more people don't do it.
I want to be a teacher because my teachers are the people in my life who have inspired me.
As soon as I get settled and moved in, I'd be happy to share my home.
I like to smile.
I am spontaneous and believe that the journey is more important than the destination.
I will answer any (most) questions you have... shoot! :)

PHILOSOPHY

Most of the problems with the world are a result of greed and fear. If we would be more accepting of others and stop being so materialistic, the world would be a better place.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to the community and am looking for willing hosts. I will offer my home as soon as I get settled.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had many friends stay at my house for anywhere from a few days to a few months. I could never turn somebody into the streets. As long as you buy your own food and are looking/planning for the future, then I am willing to help out in any way I can. Life happens, and we all need help sometimes.

I was introduced to this site from a friend who has couch surfed in many countries and across the United States. She was such a fan that I just HAD to try it.

My favorite music changes on a weekly basis, but I am on a Foo Fighters kick right now. I'll try anything once.
My Pandora.com radio stations include:
Christina Aguilera, Flyleaf, Foo Fighers, Janet Jackson, Jason Mraz, Johann Bach, John Mayer, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Michael Buble, Paramore, Ray LaMontagne, Sara Bareilles, Savage Garden, Third Eye Blind, and Three Days Grace.

Books:
I like to read. My favorites include Tuesdays with Morrie, Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel series, anything about how things are made, Mystery, Science Fiction, anything popular that people like to talk about (because I like discussing books): like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Twlight. Again, lots.

Movies:
I also really enjoy movies, though my boyfriend is the movie buff. The only movies that I don't like are horror movies, religious movies like Stigmata, and Donnie Darko.

Everybody's version of amazing varies, and I haven't done nearly as much as I want to do... This question is kind of difficult.

So far in my life, I've given CPR three times and have broken ribs. One of them survived - which is incredibly rare :) I've been told that I'm good luck.

I was an EMT and worked on an ambulance for 2.5 years, so I have some stories and emergency medicine related skills. Sadly, I can't certify you in CPR.

I am pretty good with pencil drawings and really enjoy drawing people. If I have the time and my supplies while visiting you, I may leave you with a picture. Or I may mail one to you later. I love giving presents.
