About Me

Heyo! I recently graduated university with my psychology degree, and I’ve spent the past 15 months traveling around the world to volunteer with non-profits. No clue what I’m doing now!
I am passionate about people! I love getting to know people and hearing stories. Specifically, my heart is to help those who have experienced trauma find freedom!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am excited to get to know locals and meet up with other travelers interested in new adventures! I love to experience new cultures in a deeper way and to create lasting friendships. Plus, I’ve spent the past year and a half volunteering so my budget is pretty tight!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Indie is my favorite, but I really like a wide variety, including classic rock, which I was raised on. Some of my favorite artists are The Lumineers, Maggie Rogers, Chance the Rapper, The Head and the Heart, Johnnyswim, Judah & the Lion, Frank Ocean, Rozzi, Jack Johnson, The Revivalists, Khalid, Matt Maeson, Two Door Cinema Club, Oh Wonder, Still Woozy, Will Reagan, Housefires, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Movies - My favorite movies of all time are Remember the Titans, Stuck in Love, Hot Rod, and 500 Days of Summer.

Books - I loooooove to read but choosing a favorite book is a really hard thing to do. I’m going to tentatively say “The House on Mango Street” is my favorite, but I can’t fully commit to that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked with an organization in Uganda helping to fight child sacrifice, which is a widespread practice in that particular region. The amazing people I partnered with fight to fix the legal system to ensure that witch doctors are prosecuted for these crimes against children, and they also rescue the child survivors, giving them a rehabilitation center to heal and grow up in. Spending time with these kiddos was the most fulfilling thing I’ve done in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn to play the guitar and learn to surf! I can share some homemade baked goods maybe ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What I Can Share with Hosts
