About Me

I'm a wildlife biology technician who loves to travel all over of the world, meeting new people and experiencing cultures vastly different from my own! I'm an avid hiker and backpacker, musician/music enthusiast (I play violin and am learning guitar), amateur photographer, stargazing aficionado, and a novice Spanish speaker. Most importantly, I’m an adventurer who seeks to find the humanity and beauty (and fun!) in each place I am fortunate enough to visit. I have found something meaningful - a memory, a song, a photo, a recipe, a friendship - from every locale I’ve encountered, and I hope to share the kindness and generosity I’ve experienced with anyone who needs it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've learned through my past experiences that a good time travelling relies not only on where you go, but who you're with. I've discovered so much more about the story of a place (and have had a LOT more fun) when I'm spending time with the people who live there. And as a vagabond broke college graduate with an appetite for travel, Couchsurfing sounds perfect!

Music, Movies, and Books

This is always a tough topic for me because I'm open to pretty much anything. At the moment, I've been listening to a lot of Brockhampton, Kacey Musgraves, and Dr. Dog, and I'm very much a music geek and open to new sounds, so tell me what you love! Recently, I’ve been reading One Hundred Years of Solitude and just finished The Tao of Pooh, and a few of my favorite movies include Pan’s Labyrinth, Coco, and Momento. I like to read/watch/listen to culturally significant media when I travel to new places!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve backpacked in Alaska, joined colorful parades in Peru, hitchhiked across Ireland, and went on a Kenyan safari.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach basic Spanish, some violin skills, and North American constellations. I'd love help with guitar playing, cooking, and advanced Spanish, and any music recommendations would be greatly appreciated - it’s always a thrill to expand my playlists!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’ve got quite a few crazy travel stories, and I’m almost always down for a night on the town if you’re interested. If not, I enjoy relaxing nights in as well. If you need music recommendations or want to learn cool animal facts, I’m your surfer!
