About Me

I am a Utah raised girl, love my family but I didn't quite fit the mold at home. So though it's long overdue at 29 years old, I finally broke out! I came out here to study French and work with kids. I love all food, drinking, trying any new thing, meeting any new person, pushing my limits, testing my own strength. I am considerate, open-minded, & humble. I like to improvise and be spontaneous, I don't often make highly organized plans, but I'm trying to find a happy medium.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

All my life I have wanted to live abroad. I don't have a lot of freedom with what I am doing, but I want to make the most of my days off - seeing whatever I can or going as far as I can in a matter of two days! I find that hostels fill up quickly on weekends and the main reason I want to explore Europe is to make new friends and experience the culture. That is hard to do just bouncing around pubs and venues, especially when I don't speak the language! I don't know what the best ways to spend my time are and that is why I need your help! Monday through Friday I spend taking care of two little boys, sun up to sun down. I take care of the house and have no life of my own during the week, so I absolutely need to milk these weekends for all they're worth or I will go insane.

Interests

You can get an idea from my pictures. I am at a point in my life where I am interested in EVERYTHING! There is not enough time to learn about all the things I want. It would be easier to tell you what I'm NOT interested in; televised sports, hunting, religious conversion... I really can't think of much.

Teach, Learn, Share

The greatest thing you'll every learn, is just to love, and be loved in return."
-I don't actually place much importance on love. But I do feel very strongly about musicals, and David Bowie (=

Here are some other quotes I enjoy, and relate to...

“It’s no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.”
― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

“The moment you stop trying to become a better person, is the moment you start to become worse than what you already are.”
― Carroll Bryant

“You can either be on the stage, just a performer, just going through the lines... or you can be outside it, and know how the script works, where the scenery hangs, and where the trapdoors are.”
― Terry Pratchett, Maskerade

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll bring the drinks if you provide the glassware (: I will be your wing-man, pint-size body guard, protégé, sous chef, stunt double, you name it. Writing a novel? I'll proof-read for you (as long as you're writing it in English - I'm really good at that stuff!) I love helping others, and whatever I lack in material possessions and wisdom now, I make up for in enthusiasm! If you need an ego boost, I'm your gal. In my eyes you will be the kindest and most fascinating person I've ever met. I'm from Utah - I'm easily amused and always impressed. I will be ready and willing to lend a hand, or just listen to you vent about your week, stay out of your way, or tell you all about the wonders of growing up in suburbia USA! ;) I guess the main philosophy here is give a lot, get a lot. And maybe someday, when I have my own place, you can come and visit and I will treat you like royalty. Other than that, you will basically be saving me from a broken spirit for one more week, and that you should be proud of.
