About Me
Kia Orana Couchsurfers!
I'm a very open lad who loves meeting interesting folk and having bloody good times. I like to live a stress-free and fun-filled life. If we ever come to meet, you'll have to excuse my foul mouth and occasionally grotesque sense of humour.
I've had an incredible time hosting all sorts of awesome peeps from around the globe. Two years in my apartment set amongst the rice paddies of rural Japan, an entertaining year in my tropical shack on the gorgeous island of Rarotonga and a half years' hosting in my beach side apartment on the rocky party paradise of Gozo.
After a brief hiatus back home in good ol' NZ, I'm on the road again.
This time I'll be moving about South America and hopefully meeting some of you beautiful people along the way!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I loved being able to provide travelers with a bed, hot shower and a feed. Listening to travelers' stories is always insightful and inspiring.
Now it's time to switch it up and surf some couches myself!
All in all I've met only good people and had only excellent times through couchsurfer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
How about three...
-I was the minister for my sister's wedding.
-I overcame a fairly intense phobia of being in deep water by being bullied into going scuba diving by a dude I was sitting next to at a bar in the Philippines. Loved the experience so much that now I'm a scuba diving instructor.
-I was detained in a Vietnamese Airport after X-rays had shown a suspicious item in my luggage. They took me out back to a massive room with nothing but my bag on a metal table for me to confirm it was mine. Turned out I forgot to dispose of the life-jacket I'd drunkenly swiped off a previous flight (trust me I know it was a VERY silly move). This was something they see as a rather serious offence... An officer in full army gear told me I would have to pay a US$5000 fine and wasn't allowed to leave Vietnam by air. When the officer learnt I was from New Zealand she started babbling on about how much she loved the place. I kept this excited conversation going for long enough that she decided to drop all charges and I was let off with just a slap on the wrist. Scary times.
Teach, Learn, Share
A good mood and a big old smile is bloody infectious. Wherever I am and whatever I'm doing in life I hope to always be a positive chirpy bastard that spreads good vibes and good times!
We aren't on this Earth for long and I'll be f**ked if I don't spend that time doing things that make me happy.
