Well, this is a great opportunity to get a more "hands on" experience with the country and culture you are visiting, and it's a nice way to save a bit of money when travelling! I would think this also is a great way to meet other couchsufers that will inspire me to travel to places I haven thought of visiting:)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have spent a month or so working with lions, cheetas, antilopes etc. as a volunteer in a wild animal & predator park in South Africa, and last year I was on Svalbard, and I acctually saw a couple of polar bears <--- worth it!
