Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have met some great people through couchsurfing, and really enjoying hosting when I lived in Thailand.

Music, Movies, and Books

It's hard to pick one!

I love Philip Glass (his opera Satyagraha especially), I love Korean Pansori (saw an incredible opera called Trojan Women which used Pansori music, and I also love Leelnalchi who do modern pansori). I also love Zimbabwean music and have started teaching myself how to play the mbira!

I'll watch any kind of film. Law and Order CI is my comfort-watch though.. if I'm ever feeling down I'll put on a random episode and it'll make me feel better, though I'm not sure why!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Explored Laos on a motorbike solo and camped wild wherever I ended up. I saw some beautiful landscapes, met some cool people, and slept in a hammock under the stars.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think you can learn something from everyone.

I love talking about food cultures, and know a lot about the British one (of course). Let me know if you want to eat jellied eels or learn how to make crumpets!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love taking photos of people! I also love to cook, and I’m an experienced divemaster if anyone needs a scuba buddy. I also do freelance copywriting so if you have an English language website and want to improve the writing on it, I can help!

On a more practical note, I'm very clean and tidy and will happily do some cleaning/odd jobs if you like.
