I love to travel, see & experience other cultures...tasting crazy foods, meeting interesting people, having adventures...anything outdoorsy...

I am one of the slowest readers on the planet, but am still addicted to books...serious problem with buying books while I still have many yet to be read on my shelf..

Boardgames...Balderdash is my all time favorite.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't have a couch available at the time, but wherever I stay, I make sure to be a clean, helpful guest that someone would be happy to invite back!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met many interesting people when I lived in Europe for a year, and they all graciously extended a couch for me to stay on...Enrique in Italy even took me on ride around the Coliseum on his scooter! Nigel and Linda in England made me dinner where I had my first experience with brussel sprouts, and gave me a packaged pork & apple pot pie to 'keep the wolf from the door'! Twelve years later, I am still in touch with them. I love connecting with locals and getting to experience a culture from an insider's perspective.

My favorite travel experience was to the Bolivian wetlands...hunting for an anaconda in the swamps, fishing for and cooking up a piranha, and swimming with pink, freshwater dolphins in the same water as those piranha! Fun, crazy, exciting...
Staying in an open room on a farm in Colombia with no doors was pretty amazing, too!
Hot air balloon ride over the fairy tail chimneys of Cappadocia, Turkey...
