ABOUT ME

Original profile was of myself and my friend before we went to Europe. I've changed it a bit now that it is just I here in NYC. I am a recent transplant to the area, came here for work and unfortunately not here too much since I travel a lot. I'm looking forward to spring and getting to know the city better.

PHILOSOPHY

Audra: My goal is to live a life of balance. I want to work hard but still have fun, I want to be in relationship with others but still maintain my individuality, I want to help others while keeping somepart of me just for me. I think by experiencing other people, places, things you come closer to understanding your true self.

Laura: have an adventurous spirit, laugh every day, eat chocolate, make others happy, pray, respect your parents, listen to music you love, help your friends

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed through Europe this past summer, which definitely enhanced the whole trip!

Interests

We love to travel, eat, read, dance, listen to music, live or otherwise. We both volunteer quite a bit. We just got into running this year (completed our first half marathon!) Our families are very important as well as friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Audra: One of my favorite things is to watch the sunset from 30,000 feet.

Laura: I am proud to have finished my first half-marathon in just over 2 hours.

Teach, Learn, Share

Audra: I'm a jack of many trades (flight attendant, social worker, nail tech, esthetician) So I'm willing to share what I know and I'll even give a foot massage or facial if you want!

Laura: My background is more nature-centered. I have worked as a park ranger for the past few years, so if you want to know anything about beavers or scat, I'm your woman! I also clean a mean dog kennel, practice several voices and animal noises and will sing you to sleep if you request.
