Hi everyone :), I am Audrey, a 33 years-old French girl living in Lyon and I am so looking forward to meeting you guys ! Indeed, starting September 27, 2018 and for the 8 coming months I will travel around the world, mainly from Island to Island. I am so exciting about that, you know it is sort of a dream that finally comes true :D !
I will be traveling alone with my backpack. First time for me doing such an adventure :).
During this amazing trip I will come and visit the following countries: Canada (mainly Toronto), Hawaii, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, New Caledonia, Australia (from Adelaïde to Cairns, including Tasmania and Uluru), New Zealand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Dubaï and Mauritius Island... before returning home in France as of May 30, 2019.

Then obviously, I will not be able to welcome people at home before June 2019 :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why am I on Couchsurfing, that is a good question I will try to answer as best as possible :) !
First, I really think that meeting people from different culture, different way of life, is the best way to discover deeply a country. Generally when I travel, each day is planned minute by minute. This time, I will let me time to really meet local people, having real discussions and see cities and countries with a fresh eye :). That is really one of my objective during this 8 months travel that I call a « Tropicooltrip » :). Discovering everything in depth !
And second, obviously it is also a good way to avoid bankruptcy too quickly ah ah ;) !!

Interests

As I mentioned, dancing on latine music and rock, listening to good music, spending time reading a good book, hiking, discovering wonderful cities and landscapes, spending time with family and friends, drinking wine and cocktails (especially rum cocktails !), being sometimes a little be crazy :) !

Music, Movies, and Books

For listening, I would say it depends on my mood 😉 ! Could be Bachata music when I want to be cool, or when I am on a cocooning mode in my sofa, rather pop rock music when I do sport, or would like to sing in my car (but sorry I really sing very very ... very bad ah ah)
BUT... one of my passions is... D.A.N.C.I.N.G and more particularly Cuban Salsa, Bachata, and Rock and Roll ! I cannot resist the call to salsa and Bachata music :) :) :)

Regarding books, i love thrillers, exciting novel, or historical fiction novels. My favorite book remains« La nuit des temps » from Barjavel (science-fiction novel) and all books from BUSSI. I also love Anna Gavalda, Katherine Pancol, Musso, Levy, ....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most incredible experience I will live is this go around the world trip I’ve just began :) !
I’ve been also traveling a lot these last years: Costa Rica, United States (East and West Cost, Florida, ...), Canada, Turkey, Thailand, Lanzarote, Portugal, Italy, ... I definitively L.O.VE. Traveling :)

Teach, Learn, Share

If you enjoy dancing or latine musics I’d love to show you how to dance :).
One thing I also really like when I travel or meet new people is to cook for them :). Nothing really complicated but simple meals I like :)

And last but not least, as I am a French people, I obviously will be glad to help you improving your French capabilities ;) !

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’d like to share special moments with my guests like discovering places they really like (restaurants, bars, coffee shop, really cool shops, magic places with wonderful landscapes and so on). You know, all these special places that only local people know and share with special people :).
I really would like to take this trip to share amazing things also with my family, friends and people who dream to travel and could not.
