Overview
About Me
When I was young I wanted to become a perfumer.
Well, I guess something didn't go as dreamed. But, at least I'm currently living in the amazing city of Paris, capital of perfumes and lights.
I am married with Nicolas, and we have a 6 years old son, Nathanaël. Nicolas is a scholar and teaches at University in Paris.
I am a musician (I play the baroque harp, I am madly madly in love with the harp!) and a language specialist.
Currently I am also doing languages/translation studies at University, where I study Persian language and culture (literature, history and civilisation), and I am mostly interested in the contact between indian and persian culture.
I discovered Odissi dance (classical indian dance) a few years ago and it stole my heart, I dance everyday and dream to go and study it in India as soon as possible!
I am eager to always meet new people, getting to know new countries, cultures, ways of living and thinking.
Nicolas and I are friendly and easy-going, calm people!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've decided to jump into the CS world because a few friends and family around me were involved in it and enjoying so much this experience, as hosts and as couch surfers.
As I was visiting Iran for the first time in 2017, I was eager to try couch surfing there for the first time because I wanted to meet local people, to get in touch with iranians, to learn from them, to share their lives , their habits, to get to know Iran from the inside, to listen a lot to people living in the country and to their experience.
And to speak, speak, speak, with iranian people, in persian!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I enjoy different styles. I listen mostly to traditional music or classical music, but I am very open(hears)-minded! I especially love Persian/Iranian music, hindoustani music and harp music, such as traditional Scottish/Celtic music
Movies: all the movies by Abbas Kiarostami (Close-Up and Shirin are my absolute favorites), François Truffaut and Jean-Luc Godard
I also like movies by Asghar Farhadi, Majid Majidi, And historical inspired movies or serials, such as Rome, Dowton Abbey, Sharhzad
And as cliché as it may be, I love Midnight in Paris by Woody Allen!
Books: As a bookworm, I find hard to list the books I've read or loved, as they are too many!
I really enjoy poetry and novels most of all.
I love persian poetry and iranian literature such as Hâfez, Saadi, Khayyâm, Rûmi, Fereydoun Moshiri, Forough Farrokhzad, Sohrab Sepehri, and so far my favorite iranian writer is Sadegh Hedâyat.
I especially like reading books for the surrealism/absurd movement, such as André Breton, Sadegh Hedâyat, Cocteau, Camus, Sartre.
French poetry: Francis Ponge, Apollinaire, Verlaine, Rimbaud, Théophile Gautier, Aloysius Bertrand
But also Russian classics such as Dostoyevsky, Tchekhov.
One book particularly dazzled me: Ocean Sea by Alessandro Baricco.
