About Me

Born in Palermo, Sicily. Living in London.
Studied classics. Working as a photographer. Non Violent Communication appassionate. Restless researcher.
Ready to follow intuition, serendipity, flow and Universal signs.
I ask myself "in which world I want to live?" And "who I want to be in this world?" This is for me a Compass, as my teacher of compassion and change Arnina Kashtan has taught me.

CURRENT MISSION
- Grow up through true human relationships.
- Find inner balance...or at least have a laugh when I am not able.
- Find and save the beauty, whenever is possible.

-My cat has taught me a lot. I miss her a lot. -

ABOUT ME
I am a free soul in a human body.

I am aware that my personal story influences my opinions and decisions...so sometimes I like to do the opposite of what is predictable!
Despite this, I appreciate my own background. I am a Sicilian who moved to United Kingdom, my education is on Western humanities, but many of my interests are on Eastern world and philosophy too.

I do photography, especially I enjoy doing reportage and researches, writing on the way.
There are so many good, exemplar stories out there waiting for their storyteller.

I have been vegetarian for over ten years, but I don't eat courgettes!

I LOVE Indian food and chai tea :-)
also I am learning Hindi! Why? why not.

I want learn more about nature, permaculture, natural remedia, survival skills, cooking, yoga and meditation practice.

I love maps, astronomy, alchemy, religions of all the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Rudyard Kipling - IF

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
but make allowance for their doubting too,

If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don¹t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don¹t give way to hating
And yet not look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - but not make dreams your master,
If you can think - but not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;

If you can bear to hear the truth you¹ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build them up with worn-out tools

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on, when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings, yet not lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much,

If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds¹ worth of distance run
Yours is the Earth and everything in it,
And, what is more, you¹ll be a Man, my son!

Music, Movies, and Books

The Little Prince is the book I want to have in every language!
I have read a lot. Funny, among my most fav books there are mostly very brief texts.

Small books:
- Love letter to the Earth - Thich Nhat Hanh
- The forest passage - Ernst Junger
- Zen in the art of archery - Eugen Herrigel
- letters to a young friend - J. Krishnamurti
- Jonathan Livingston seagull - Richard Bach
-and some others....
- Siddhartha - Herman Hesse

Among big books: Shantaram, set in India that I love (I know there are probably better books about the "real India", but the writing of this Australian foreigner is fascinating and the real redemption story quite touching)

I have read many spiritual books.

Marshall Rosenberg and his Non Violent Communication have drastically changed my mind, my language, my relationships for better.

I owe the psychotherapist and teacher Mauro Scardovelli a better understanding of human personalities.

I like also novels and poetry. Some of my poems have been published in 2023 in an anthology.

When I am bored I listen to anything, like Quantum Physic lectures on YouTube or Survival skills primitive lessons ;-)

I like many kind of music, it just depends on the moment. The National, Mumford and sons, but honestly I like anything from classic music to country, Italian rocknroll (Negrita), Beatles to sitar and Indian music...
I only don't like dance, techno and electronic music, punk, heavy metal.

I play the frame drum!
I have done 2 courses on puppetry!

My favourite movie: Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, which is set in my homeland Sicily and shows the passion for Cinema (great director Tornatore and amazing soundtrack by Morricone)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Paragliding with Massimo, a close friend of one of my heroes: Angelo D'Arrigo! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4P1P28541wk
Flying is awesome.

During an art exhibition in Arles (Festival de la Photographie) my photos have been projected on a white sheet between street's walls, in a truly bohemian atmosphere.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach photography.
I can learn through your example. I am still learning how to breath, walk, eat...and love.
I share moments and presence.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Empathy, spiritual chats, laughs, books advices, pasta, live music, a walk in a park or seaside, museums/art events.
