About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Be less afraid of the world.
ABOUT ME
I am a paradoxically quiet and outgoing person. If I'm talking, I'm talking a lot, but pretty much only if it's in English; I know a little bit of French and German, but am quite shy about speaking in either.
While I've done quite a bit of travelling, it has always been being dragged along with my family, during my youth (China multiple times, England, France and Holland, all before the age of 14). I've never really oriented a trip myself before 2014 (Montreal, almost a decade after my last previous trip).
PHILOSOPHY
Recalculating...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've interacted with surfers before, although at present I don't have my own place to host. Surfed on a couch or two by now, looking for more!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfed on the couch of someone I previously knew. A little nervous to be surfing with a stranger next.
Interests
FOOD. I love to bake, and am trying to learn how to cook, which I find to be a more intuitive skill and harder to practice. Very interested in the foods of other cultures. I am a happy omnivore, but incredibly intrigued by the food of restricted diets (gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan...)
I enjoy theatre and acting, and love to watch improv although I cannot for the life of me do it myself. I also like physical theatre (Pilobolus style, though I'm not nearly that good) and acrobatic yoga.
I like seriously written fiction, that creates a complex inner world, but have yet to read Lord Of The Rings. Would love reading suggestions!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was really young at the time, but the Terra Cotta warriors, and my family went on a cruise of the Yangtze river, and I got to see the beautiful natural area before the Three Gorges Dam was built.
Teach, Learn, Share
Hula hooping? I know a few good tricks well enough to teach them. (If you can provide a hoop!)
