About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Better myself as a human through travel, experience, new friends, challenging moments, stimulating conversations and offering what I can to the universe in return for all the good it's doing.

ABOUT ME

I am an aspiring theatre-maker who loves exploring, yoga, learning and all things art. Being outdoors feeds my soul. There is so much that I can learn from the people around me and I want to take advantage of that as much as possible! I enjoy films and music of all variety and am always seeking new book recommendations!

PHILOSOPHY

I am a spiritual person, although I live and believe by my own moral code, not by an established religion. That being said, I love to discuss and long to understand the religious and philosophical perspectives of others. I practice meditation and yoga, both a large part of my spirituality and connectivity with the universe. Acceptance and love of all people in all walks of life is beautiful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I first heard about Couchsurfing and this amazing community of people, I was struck with genuine awe at the generosity and comradery of humans all over the globe. In the fall of 2014, I studied in London and because of this community I was able to travel through France, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, all throughout England and visit Denmark. The world is a remarkable place and it's these people that make it that way. I want to give back to others throughout my life in the way I was given to, and I never want to stop making unique human connections and discovering.

Interests

Big shocker, but travel! I want to experience as many cultures as possible and understand different ways of life and perspectives. I love physical activity, especially outdoors. Connecting with new people is always a wonderful experience. I'm into art of all sorts, wine, tea, and laughter. Yoga yoga yoga. Theatre and film performance. Bringing a little light to the people around me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read a lot of plays, due to my love of theatre. I love reading fantasy and mystery novels as well. As far as music goes, I am a lover of many genres, from jazz to folk. With film, I enjoy anything from fantasy to campy 80s movies. All art is beautiful in its own respect and I try to appreciate music and film in that way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one? Skydiving!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share with others what I have been lucky enough to learn this far in my life. Meditation, yoga, theatre, singing, baking (cookies are a specialty of mine) and any knowledge or skill I may posses are on the table for discussion, teaching and creating with others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Friendship and conversation. I love exploring so I'm a great adventure partner, be it hiking up a mountain, swimming through a river, what have you. And, although I may not be the best cook in the world, I love helping hosts in whatever ways I can during my stay.
