About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make this world a better place to live in. Idealistic ? That's because you don't know The Legend of The Hummingbird !

"One day, a long time ago and in a faraway place, or so the legend goes, there was a huge forest fire that was raging the countryside. All the animals were terrified, running around in circles, screaming, crying and helplessly watching the impending disaster.

But there in the middle of the flames, and above the cowering animals, was a tiny hummingbird busy flying from a small pond to the fire, each time fetching a few drops with its beak to throw on the flames. And then again And then again.

After a while, an old grouchy armadillo, annoyed by this ridiculous useless agitation on the part of the hummingbird, cried out: “Tiny bird! Don’t be a fool. It is not with those miniscule drops of water one after the other that you are going to put out the fire and save us all!"

To which the hummingbird replied, “Could be, but I’m going to do my bit”.

ABOUT ME

I'm a French young student graduated in Translation and currently studying Tourism Development in Montreal. I love meeting foreign people to exchange about languages, cultures, ecology and environmental issues...

In 2013 I spent 7 months working in Perth (Australia) as an au pair. It was such a great experience for me and I will never forget it. I will never forget how nice people can be with you ! I met a lot of friends with different backgrounds and I just loved it !

PHILOSOPHY

Pack your stuff, take my hand and jump in this plane. World is yours !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was in Norway for 2013 New Year's Eve. My friends and I were hosted by a really nice couchsurfer. With his hospitality and welcome, it makes me wanna do the same for travellers.

A friend of mine organized couchsurfing events in Nancy and I attended many of them.

I surfed many places in Quebec.

Interests

Gardening, reading, organizing my next trip, looking for the best places in the city to share a drink while listening to live music, listening to some funny trip experiences... I'm a beginner in swing dancing, a craft beer drinker and a moviegoer !
I love nature, wild places and mountains. I do a lot of hiking and kayaking and can't get enough of breathtaking views !
According me, exchange between people from different country is the best way to grow up !

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm keen on movie so I've seen a lot of them ! I can hardly say which one is my favourite ! Here's a kind of list... Looper, Vanilla Sky, Back to the future, 500 days of summer, Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, Amélie from Montmartre, Alabama Monroe, Dead Poets Society and so much more...
Music ? My better travelmate !
I listen all kind of music but I prefer folk, swing, blues, jazz and bluegrass ! Those are perfect for a chilling out night !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I swam with whale sharks in Ningaloo Reef last summer ! Swimming by their sides, in their natural living environment, in the deep but clear water of the Indian Ocean was an unforgettable experience. Adrenalin, wonderment and an indescribable powerlessness feeling in front of those giants of seas...
The best sunrise I've ever seen was by far at the top of a Balinese volcano !

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you the most important things you should know in French and about Frenchies ! :)
When I'm travelling, I like adopt the same way of life of my host and learn a lot of about the country way of life !

What I Can Share with Hosts

A homemade beer !
