Overview
About Me
I’m honest, open/liberal, philosophical, accepting and respectful of others and their cultures/beliefs. and I am usually optimistic. I try to balance quiet solitude with social interaction, and I prefer face to face conversations over digital interaction. I like seeking ways to challenge myself / push boundaries, and I learn more from "real" experiences and from talking to people than from a book. I don't try to fit into any "normal" societal conventions.
I've taken a pause from all my long solo travels and started university in Feb 2018 in my home town of Brisbane (studying French, Russian and Spanish languages). A very different experience with it's own challenges and lessons in humility.
I regularly dance or climb in my free time. If I have more time, I like to cook, watch a movie, see a live band, etc.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on CS because I want to meet people (especially locals in the place I´m visiting) and to make new friends. CS is a good platform to bring people together and to learn new things.
Everyone seems to have their own ideas of CS but I like to think of it as an exchange. I am happier when I’m with good, kind people and I am inspired to give back in return through sharing (I like cooking and sharing my meals and having good conversations, etc) as opposed to giving material/monetary gifts.
