About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Adopt bohemian ideas. Conquer my fears by smashing through my comfort zone. Become comfortable with expressing myself and not giving a fuck what anybody thinks. Build a legacy out of meeting wonderful people in every country I visit and taking selfies with them, so everyone will know that there are amazingly kind people who exist in a world that isn't as bad as they say.

ABOUT ME

I quit my job to be a traveling free spirit and I made the discovery that I was already a free spirit. All I had to do was cast off the shackles! My journey is ongoing, but I'm in no rush to finish it. Speaking of which, I absolutely love aimless wandering; driftless exploration has brought me joy and many ideas. My plan for the near future is to get a job on a cruise ship so I can be paid to travel while saving money for travel on vacations. ;) I'm expecting my brand-new passport to arrive next month!

I tend to be reserved at first, which is something I'm working on. I strive to remain open-minded to new experiences. I can be a nut and if you're a nut too, we're gonna get along like a couple of peanuts in a shell. I'm deaf and I communicate via different modes such as pen & paper, sign language, typing, and dry-erase board. Like my gender and sexuality, my hearing loss is just a small part of who I am; however, because of it, I admire and respect diversity and unique individuals. :)

CODE OF ETHICS (Still in development)

-Be true to myself through self-expression while respecting others' right to express themselves however they want.
-Approach everybody as a friend.
-Devote myself to lifelong learning and use that knowledge to help make this world a better place for the future generations.
-Pursue freedom tempered by common sense and encourage others to do the same .

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet amazing and inspiring people and hear their stories. I want to learn what it means to be unconditionally kind to others. I want to touch lives and let mine be touched. I want to take pictures of every wonderful person I meet for my legacy project.

I also want to meet bohemian souls who can inspire me to enjoy freedom even further.

I would love to host someday when I have a comfortable couch for you to crash on. ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled to San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego via Greyhound in a week!

Walked across San Francisco from the waterfront to the China Beach and I was rewarded with an amazing sight untouched by most people. :)

I met a few homeless people who opened my eyes to the world beyond my sheltered life.

I went to a bar with an Aussie who was gloriously bad at dancing and didn't give a fuck, and he made me join him with others. It was awesome.

I hiked with a couple of Frenchmen who inspired me to learn their language.

I got a tattoo the night before making my final appearance at a work party...in drag (see photos for reference. ;) )

Teach, Learn, Share

Learn from me: Sign language, knitting, baking

Teach me: Cooking, dancing, languages, painting, drawing, massage, anything... I'm a knowledge sponge!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help with household chores and general cleaning. I'm not the greatest at cooking, but I can bake a mean batch of cookies (Peanut Butter Lovers' Delight, soft-baked chocolate chip, etc.).

I can be a great companion if you ever need enabling for saying yes to adventures. ;)

We can have conversations over long meals and wine.

I'll play with your cats and walk your dogs if you've got 'em!
