About Me
Hi there!
I'm a 23 year old student currently doing my masters in philosophy and history of science at Cambridge University, England. My research is focused on history and philosophy of biology and metaphysics.
I'm easy going, upbeat and open minded. I love immersing myself in the things I'm passionate about and sharing that with others. That'll usually be stuff related to music, food, art of all kinds, science and philosophy, though I love nothing more than learning about things other people are passionate about and which I know nothing of.
I'm half American and half French, and I've lived in France and England until I came to Montreal/Canada for my studies. I've been really enjoying my studies and I hope to teach one day!
My hobbies are playing guitar, singing, landscape/street photography, listening to music, drawing, reading, walking, judo, bouldering/rock climbing, thinking, meeting new people/exploring new places and new ideas.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: loads of different stuff! Exploring new music is definitely one of my favourite pass-times. Recently it's been mostly ambient, IDM, psychedelic, rock, metal, progressive/experimental/avant-guard stuff, jazz/blues/folk and a little classical. I've been obsessing over Andy Shauf, Jon Hopkins, Fleet Foxes, maudlin of the Well and Sigur Ros recently.
Movies: My favourite movies are ones I can watch again and again while discovering something new with every viewing. I also love great soundtracks. The Fountain, The Prestige, Arrival, Pan's Labyrinth, Big Fish, The Babadook, anything by Wes Anderson, Her, Nightcrawler, Enemy...oh and LOTR (extended edition, obviously). Those are the ones that come to mind but there are so many.
Shows: Westworld, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Chef's Table, Better Call Saul, Sherlock, Planet Earth, True Detective, Stanger Things, Narcos
Books: Fiction: mostly fantasy and sci-fi. Tolkien, Jorge Luis Borges, Gabriel Marquez, anything by Brandon Sanderson, Scott Lynch, Patrick Rothfuss Herman Hesse.
Non-fiction: loads of different stuff. Some recent things I've read/am reading are I Am a Strange Loop by D. Hofstadter, The Righteous Mind by J. Haidt, Mind in Life and Waking, Dreaming, Being by E. Thompson, The Restless Clock by J.Riskin
Food: I've been a vegetarian for a year though I make exceptions here and there. I'm not too fussy and enjoy almost everything.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm gonna cheat and list a few because I can't decide!
Backpacking across Vietnam
Backpacking across Norway
Internship at NASA (yeah I still can't quite believe that happened).
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to say here but if the question is 'what do you wish to teach/learn/share' then I would say pretty much anything, because in many way I find the very act of teaching/learning/sharing immensely satisfying regardless of what the actual content is (for the most part).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm quite an open person and I am honestly happy to share almost anything about myself and my interests!
