About Me

Hi ! I'm Augustin, still studying at the old age of 25 years old, but trying to use this opportunity to discover the world :) I'm currently based in Brisbane, Australia, but originally from the South-West of France, born and raised between pine trees, vineyards, and occasionally some sheep.

I love to discover new places and cultures, and am fond of outdoors, cooking, maps (bit of a nerd about this), and board games! Looking forward to meeting you!

(I'm new to CS with a profile 'of my own' but have travelled with CS before with my girlfriend in Europe and Indonesia, and loved it! :) )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because nothing is better than discovering a city with its locals! Enjoying a night out, being hosted, or simply visiting a hidden gem with locals is for me the key to a successful trip :)

Unfortunately I cannot host right now due to my rather unstable housing situation, but hopefully will be able to do so soon!
I'd be happy to show you around the city I'm living in though!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy many types of music, from indie English rock to música popular brasileira, to many different kinds of French music (from Matmatah to Francis Cabrel en passant par Gael Faye), and recently Argentinian trap. My 'most beautiful song ever' is Diamond and Rust by Joan Baez though.

I love indie movies where not too much happens (e.g. Aftersun was a recent one I loved), but I'm not against an occasional blockbuster :)

One of my favorite books ever is The Man who Spoke Snakish, by Andrus Kivirähk.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to cook and enjoy a dinner together, and also love sharing new board/card games with people around the world!
