About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Keep Learning, make, be a dad.

ABOUT ME
As a friend once told me "being young means dreaming of joining the rebellion, as you get older, you realise that the empire has better career options and healthcare benefits..."
While I have traded my craftsman tools for a desk job, I am still as pationate about making things, travelling, meeting people and all in all taking the time to notice the beauty of the world.

PHILOSOPHY
Life is life, don't look for a meaning, life gives itself meaning. A beautiful sunset only exist if it is seen. Emotions, ideas exist because they are shared.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe travelling without meeting people is a half-experience.
Some of my most amazing memories are whith couchsurfers either as a host or a guest.
Once an inveterate hoster I'm currently taking a step back while the little one grows old enough to start appreciating it.
Still, I travel, guide people through brussels and occasionaly make an exception for an old friend.

Music, Movies, and Books

Book : "Les sept couleurs du vent" Bernard Tirtiaux
Movie : Benny & Joon

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amating thing I've experienced:
Imagine getting off a bus in the early hours, still at night but dawn arriving.
You are at the top of hill and everything around you is white from the fresh snow .
As you make your way to the village that is your destination a few kilometers further, the landscape slowly starts to glow as the night lifts until finally a beam of light breaks through the hills in the backround and the sun rises.

One amazing thing I have made:
The peach-tree road gallery Organ in Atlanta (I didn't make it alone.)

One amazing thing I've done:
I volunteered as a cliniclown for a couple of years in Varsaw as a way for me to better my Polish while bringing some joy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a good woodworker, programmer, cook and guide (Brussels and London).
It's likely that I will ask you to play a game of go and if you beg me I can play Pachelbel's canon on the Piano.
I want to learn how to ask for a beer in all the language of the planet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

An innate amount of trivia about organs, computers and language.
A passion for the art of brewing, beer and other beverages.
Recipes of traditional Belgian dishes.
